Main Function and Activities

In order to implement the role as Information Center in the Research Library [1] to provide to Master’s and PhD degree students, professors, professionals in practices in accounting and auditing services, managers, businessmen with the opportunities to additional studies on textbooks, research papers for the preparation of their teaching materials and presentation papers related to lessons from the Lao PDR as well as the ones at regional and international level;

To undertake studies, draft and prepare textbooks, technical manuals and training materials in order to satisfy the needs for professional studies in various business sectors as well as in the academic studies, tafe, graduate and post-graduate degrees according to the modules adopted by the Ministry of education and to be distributed as educational materials for students, teaching materials for professors, tutors and additional studies for trainer and trainees in various sectors;

To perform surveys, researches and studies related to the analysis of business, economic and financial performances for business entities of various sectors;

To give advices, technical instructions and to undertake studies, researches, analysises and assessments of data related to investment and perform financial statements analysis, and to make surveys on various topics tailored to the needs of the concerned entities;

To undertake the on-the field training on the best practices for large, medium and small sized enterprises according to the topics requested;

To cooperate with the Accounting Division of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the National University, Accounting Division in the implementation of the Accounting Expert Project; (in addition to the collaboration with the universities, research Institutes and renowned professional associations such as ACCA, CPA Australia and AFA Professional bodies is also envisaged);

Other services: translation services of textbooks, manuals from French, English, German, Chinese, Vietnamese into Lao, and from Lao language into those foreign languages.
